Our second visit. This is one of our favourite sites. We chose a canal-side pitch at the far end of the site, handy for the new facilities block. Electricity nearby, water a few meters further. Good heated pool near the main facilities. Site meets most needs, a small 'Superette' in the village meets the rest. The village is nothing special but the tow path provides an easy cycle ride southwards to Malestroit and a longer ride to Josselin in the north. We walked a small part of the latter route as far as the restaurant at Montertelot, which is excellent value for lunch. A third direction is the 'Voie Verte', a former railway line which takes you to Plourmel. Worth a mention is the stunning flock of Egrets in the trees beyond the canal.
We stayed a few days here. Met some nice folk. The bays are big and shaded but you can move to the sun if you want. The owners are helpful and kind.. There's two sets of toilets / showers available. The ones at reception are the best for showering
Very busy campsite as bank holiday but they squeezed us in! Ate in the restaurant/cafe sitting right beside the Brest-Nantes canal. We were able to recharge our bike batteries. Very helpful staff.
Lovely little site. Similar to a UK CL. But with facilities.
There are cabins and tree tents to rent so an ideal place to go with friends who don't have a motorhome or caravan.
There are bikes to rent and it's right next to a cycle path by the canal. All pitches are grass which is nice.
A half hour bike ride to malestriot which is absolutely beautiful. It feels like a film set. It has a market on a Thursday morning which we discovered by accident (maybe it has one every day). The main square and bars are a must visit.
Josselin is 1 hour bike ride in the other direction. It looks like it'd be very nice to visit too but we didn't go as unfortunately, out of season (October) the castle is only open at weekends.
Excellent Perfect quality and value, great ambience. Will definitely return.
I had a super experience at this well run, very clean, campsite and look forward to returning. Great location for cycling, walking and chilling out. I enjoyed the tasty served breakfast every morning which I appreciated as a bonus and felt very relaxed there. Just wish I could be there right now...
Not as quiet as advertised This site is well positioned for cycling along the canal and by a small village. There is no bread delivery on the campsite but you can buy it in the village. The site is popular with families and has a group area and was always noisy in the evenings, although generally quiet at night. The pitches interlock so there is little privacy between neighbours and on many you can be surrounded on three sides by other campers.
Lovely campsite. Clean, spacious and unusual. Best so far in Brittany.
